Farmers Market
[:en]This time I used Amtrak as my second time. First time was like 6 years ago when I moved out Portland. It took 4 hours from New Orleans to Jackson.
Amtrak is a train but it is so slow. You cannot even compare with Japanese local train.
This is much more comfortable than greyhound but there is no Wi-Fi on.
I arrived at Jackson,Mississippi at 5 pm.
My friend ceased to contact me so I was scared but FINALLY. I met my friend after 2 hours!
She was just moving out & in to new place so she was busy.
Anyway we made it.
“Are you hungry?” “Stores and restaurants close early in Jackson ”
She was right. There were nothing. Dark.
I eventually went to supermarket with my friend and had a burrito.
Day2
We slept well and woke up.
We went to eat breakfast!
Nobody is walking around here even downtown…
“This area is where young people come!” “but only this small…” Yap. only a block. There are still some stores which are closed.
“This city is nothing! I wanna leave here!!” We laughed.
I had a chai tea latte and bacon and cheese quiche!
Yummy!
Indeed, This cafe is cute and fashionable!
After that, we went to vintage clothing store! One minute from the cafe.
I loved it! CUTE! fucking CHEAP!
I thought, I can come back only for this store!
After that, we separated because she was still busy with packing. So she dropped me off in downtown area.
I cannot think this is “DOWNTOWN” This is a GHOST TOWN.
Yap, the city is well managed but there is nobody even in the park…
What I saw is squirrels and a man.
Subway(sandwich) is also closed.
I checked other vintage shops but there are not so my like.
Farmers Market was nice. It is like a real county side of America. They sell veges, soups, food…I tried kale smoothie. The guy gave me a cake stick also lol
After that I went to the Art Museum. I was able to learn about slave era. The weather was not so good but I took a nap at the outside of Museum. Then, she came to pick me up.
After we came back to her house, she cooked Mexican Food! She is a Mexican so It was real Mexican Food I would say.
She also served “Sweet Tea” which Mississippi people loves.
After that, I helped out her moving out!
I am now at the bus station 11pm
It will arrive by 5pm but I cannot still believe the bus.
I hope I can sleep.[:]
